How to Buy GTA 6 in Bangladesh: Price, Codes, Unlock Time
There's no PlayStation Store in Bangladesh, so every copy sold here is tied to another country's store. Here's how to buy GTA 6 without ending up with a code that won't work.

In this article
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and players in Bangladesh can play it like anyone else. Buying it is the tricky part. Sony doesn’t run a PlayStation Store for Bangladesh, so every Bangladeshi PS5 owner already uses an account registered to another country, and every copy of GTA 6 sold here is tied to one of those foreign stores. Get the match wrong and you’ve paid for a code your console won’t accept.
Here’s how buying GTA 6 in Bangladesh works, what it costs in taka, and when you’ll be able to play.
The one rule that matters on PS5
On PlayStation 5, a GTA 6 code only works on a PSN account registered in the same region the code was made for. Rockstar splits the world into nine regions for this, and its support FAQ recommends buying from the country your account belongs to. An Indonesian code, for example, works on accounts from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan or Thailand, but not on a UAE, Indian or US account.
So before you buy anything, check your account’s country. On your PS5, go to Settings, then Users and Accounts, then Account, then Account Information. Whatever country is listed there is the one that counts, not Bangladesh. Then use our free GTA 6 region checker to see which codes will work for you.
If you play on Xbox, this is much simpler. Rockstar says Xbox codes are not region-locked, so a GTA 6 Xbox code from any country works on your account.
How Bangladeshi shops sell GTA 6
Most local game shops sell GTA 6 as a digital code delivered by message or email, not as a box. At the time of writing, Infinity GameStop in Bangladesh lists GTA 6 from 9,200 to 12,200 taka depending on edition, with PlayStation codes for the United States or Indonesia stores and Xbox codes for the US store, delivered within a few hours. Other shops list similar products, some at noticeably higher prices, and the exact taka price moves with the dollar rate.
That’s normal and legitimate, as long as the code’s region matches your account. The listing should say which store the code is for. If it doesn’t, ask the seller and get the answer in writing before you pay.
The official prices behind those taka figures are $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for Ultimate on the US store. If you’re unsure which to choose, our Standard vs Ultimate guide covers it, and Standard can be upgraded later for $20 on Xbox, as our upgrade explainer explains.
Boxed copies
Some shops also import the physical edition. Remember that the box contains a download code, not a disc, so the same region rule applies: a UK box won’t redeem on an Indonesian account. Boxed copies only make sense here if you want the case itself, or if the box’s region happens to match your account.
Gift cards: buying from your own store
The other route is topping up your account’s own store with gift cards for that country (a UAE card for a UAE account, an Indian card for an Indian account) and buying GTA 6 digitally. Gift cards are region-locked in exactly the same way, so the same matching rule applies. This route also lets you buy the Ultimate upgrade or any add-ons later without hunting for another code.
What to avoid
Be careful with offers to sell you a “shared” or “secondary” account with GTA 6 already on it. These are cheap because several people pay for one copy, and they break Sony’s terms, which means the game can be removed and the account locked. A real code for your own account costs more, but it’s yours.
It’s also worth knowing that Sony’s terms expect your account to match the country you live in. In practice, with no Bangladeshi store, local players use accounts from other regions, which works but carries that risk. You can’t change the region of an existing account later, so if you already have one, buy codes for it rather than starting again.
When GTA 6 unlocks in Bangladesh
Rockstar hasn’t published unlock times for each country. The most widely reported pattern is that the game unlocks at midnight on November 19 in each store’s own region. If that’s how it works, your account’s store decides your unlock time, not Bangladesh Standard Time:
- Asia store (Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong): around 10:00 PM on November 18, Bangladesh time
- India store: around 12:30 AM on November 19
- UAE store: around 2:00 AM on November 19
- UK store: around 6:00 AM on November 19
- US store (Eastern time): around 11:00 AM on November 19
Treat these as estimates until Rockstar or Sony confirms them. Our launch time explainer will be updated if official times appear.
Plan the download
Rockstar hasn’t announced an install size, but estimates sit around 150 to 200GB. On a home connection that can take many hours, so pre-load from November 12 rather than downloading on launch night. The download time calculator on our calculators page gives a realistic estimate for your speed, and our launch day checklist covers everything else to sort out first. You can also add pre-load and launch day to your calendar so you don’t miss either.
