Editorial Guidelines

At GTA Ready, we're committed to accurate, transparent, and trustworthy coverage of GTA 6. Here's how we do it.

Our Mission

GTA 6 is the most anticipated game in a generation, and that kind of anticipation attracts a lot of noise: recycled rumors, clickbait headlines, and information stretched well past what the original source said. We built GTA Ready because we think our readers deserve better than that.

We don't chase clicks with misleading headlines, and we don't publish unverified claims as settled fact. Every article we publish is checked against what we can confirm, not what would get the most shares.

Our promise is simple: everything we publish is meant to inform you, not manipulate you.

Editorial Standards

Accuracy Above Speed

We'd rather publish correct information a few hours later than be first with something wrong. Speed matters, but never at the cost of accuracy.

Clear, Honest Headlines

Our headlines describe what's in the article. If a release date is a rumor, the headline says "rumored." No bait, no "you won't believe" phrasing.

News Kept Separate From Opinion

Factual reporting and analysis are labeled differently. A news article states what's confirmed. An opinion piece is marked as one, so you always know which you're reading.

Written for People Who Already Care

Our readers already know the basics of GTA. We write for people looking for real detail, not padded articles written to hit a word count.

Fact-Checking Process

Before any news article goes live, we verify it through the same steps every time:

  1. Source Verification, We trace every claim back to where it came from. When Rockstar or Take-Two makes an announcement, we link straight to their own channels.
  2. Cross-Referencing, Significant claims get checked against more than one reliable source whenever that's possible.
  3. Technical Review, Claims about hardware, development, or industry practices are checked by someone who understands the subject before they go live.
  4. Context Check, We make sure quotes and screenshots are shown in the context they were given, not cropped to imply something different.

Sources & Attribution

We believe in being upfront about where our information comes from.

Our Source Hierarchy

  • Official Sources: Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, and platform holders directly.
  • Primary Sources: Interviews, press releases, and official documents.
  • Secondary Sources: Established outlets with their own original reporting.
  • Community Sources: Leaks and rumors, always labeled clearly as such.

Whenever we build on reporting from another outlet, we link to the original source and credit whoever broke the story.

Rumor & Leak Coverage Policy

GTA 6 is one of the most leaked games in recent memory, so rumors are unavoidable. Here's how we decide what to cover.

What We'll Cover

  • Leaks from sources with a real track record of being right
  • Rumors with genuine community interest and some supporting evidence
  • Context that helps you tell confirmed information apart from speculation

What We Won't Cover

  • Unverifiable claims from anonymous accounts with no history
  • Secondhand "someone I know at Rockstar told me" rumors
  • Leaks that look fabricated purely to generate clicks

Whenever we do cover a rumor or leak, it's clearly labeled as one, in both the headline and the article itself.

Corrections & Updates Policy

We're human, and mistakes happen. When they do, we handle them transparently.

  • Minor Errors (typos, formatting): fixed without a separate notice.
  • Factual Corrections: a correction note is added explaining what was wrong and what's accurate now.
  • Significant Updates: when new information changes the story, we update the article and note what changed and when.

Every article shows its original publish date and its last updated date. If you spot something wrong, contact us and we'll look into it.

Sponsored Content & Affiliate Disclosure

Being upfront about how this site makes money matters to us.

  • Any sponsored content is clearly labeled as "Sponsored" or "Advertisement."
  • Affiliate links, where we may earn a commission on a purchase, are disclosed.
  • Editorial decisions are never influenced by advertisers or business partners.
  • Our editorial team and our business team stay separate.

Author Accountability

Every article on GTA Ready has a named author behind it. Our authors:

  • Have a public profile with their bio and article history
  • Are reachable, not anonymous
  • Are accountable for the accuracy of what they publish
  • Keep learning the subject rather than coasting on what they already know
