GTA 6 Characters
Meet the protagonists, allies, and dangerous faces of Leonida State. Every criminal has a story, though not every story is confirmed yet.
Who's Who in GTA 6
Rockstar has only officially confirmed a small number of names so far. This page tracks everyone glimpsed, named, or reasonably theorized across trailers and community analysis, clearly marked by how solid the source is.
Showing 30 characters
Lucia Caminos
One of the two confirmed protagonists of GTA 6, introduced in Trailer 1 being released from prison. Her story follows her return to Vice City and a partnership with Jason that trailer footage frames as both romantic and criminal, echoing the Bonnie-and-Clyde dynamic Rockstar has leaned into across the marketing.
- Officially confirmed protagonist, named directly by Rockstar
- Introduced in Trailer 1 (December 2023) being released from prison
- Playable character, shown driving, shooting, and robbing stores in trailer footage
Jason Duval
The second confirmed protagonist, shown throughout the trailers alongside Lucia as her partner in crime. Trailer 2 footage expanded his role considerably, showing more of his background and the pressures pulling the pair deeper into Leonida's criminal underworld.
- Officially confirmed protagonist, named directly by Rockstar
- Appears throughout Trailer 1 and Trailer 2 alongside Lucia
- Playable character, confirmed via direct gameplay footage
Boobie Ike
A Vice City business figure named directly in Trailer 2, shown in scenes tied to the city's nightlife and criminal economy. Exactly how central his role is to the main story hasn't been detailed, but his direct naming in official marketing makes him one of the few supporting characters confirmed by Rockstar itself rather than by leaks.
- Named directly in Trailer 2, officially confirmed
- Appears connected to Vice City nightlife and business
- Also referenced in this site's Properties page as a possible business owner
CAL
Community analysis of Trailer 1 footage points to a character believed to be an ex-partner of Lucia's, shown behind bars in an early scene. The full name comes from image assets uploaded to this site rather than an official Rockstar cast announcement, so it should still be treated as unconfirmed.
- Full name sourced from site image assets, not an official cast reveal
- Believed to be a past relationship of Lucia's
- Shown incarcerated in the scene fans have linked to this character
Raul
A cartel-linked figure that community datamines and trailer analysis have tied to the drug trade running through Leonida. The full name comes from image assets uploaded to this site rather than an official Rockstar announcement, so treat it as a strong community theory rather than confirmed fact.
- Full name sourced from site image assets, not official confirmation
- Believed to be connected to drug trafficking in the story
- Name and role could change once more is officially revealed
Unnamed VCPD Detective
Trailer footage includes brief law enforcement scenes that fans believe hint at a recurring detective character pursuing Jason and Lucia, in the tradition of past GTA games having a dedicated antagonist on the police side. No name or actor has been confirmed for this role.
- Based on general law enforcement footage in trailers
- No name confirmed, role is speculative
- Past GTA games have often included a similar recurring police antagonist
Dre’Quan
A name that surfaced through community datamining of early leaked assets, associated with the criminal network Jason and Lucia operate within. Since this comes from unofficial sources rather than trailer footage, both the name and the character's role should be treated as unverified.
- Sourced from community datamine, not official trailer footage
- Believed to be connected to the main criminal network
- Full name unverified by Rockstar
Lucia’s family
Early trailer footage includes brief domestic scenes that fans have interpreted as involving members of Lucia's family, though no specific names or relationships have been confirmed by Rockstar. Family ties have played a role in past GTA protagonists' stories, so this is a reasonable guess rather than a confirmed detail.
- Based on brief domestic scenes in trailer footage
- No specific names or relationships confirmed
- Family dynamics are common in past GTA protagonists' backstories
Brian Heder
A name tied to Lucia's family through image assets uploaded to this site, sharing a surname with another likely relative also pictured. If accurate, this points to Lucia's family being built out as a recurring presence in the story rather than a one-scene detail, though Rockstar hasn't confirmed the name or relationship directly.
- Surname shared with another likely family member (Lori Heder)
- Name sourced from site image assets, not an official cast reveal
- Suggests Lucia's family plays a recurring role in the story
Lori Heder
Likely tied to Brian Heder as part of Lucia's extended family, based on the shared surname across image assets uploaded to this site. Nothing about her specific relationship to Lucia or her role in the story has been confirmed by Rockstar.
- Shares the Heder surname with Brian Heder
- Name sourced from site image assets, not an official cast reveal
- Likely family member, exact relationship unconfirmed
Corrupt Vice City Official
GTA games have leaned on a corrupt politician or official as a recurring antagonist type since the original Vice City, usually someone Jason and Lucia end up crossing or working for. Nothing specific has been confirmed about a character like this in GTA 6, but the setup fits the series' history closely enough to be worth tracking.
- Speculative, based on a recurring GTA archetype rather than trailer footage
- No name or actor confirmed
- Corrupt officials have appeared in most mainline GTA games
Cartel Lieutenant
A second, lower-ranking cartel figure some fans believe sits beneath Raul in the drug trade storyline hinted at across trailer footage. This is a theory built from how past GTA games structure their criminal hierarchies rather than anything shown directly on screen.
- Speculative, inferred from typical GTA cartel-story structure
- No direct trailer footage tied to this specific character
- Would sit below Raul in a rumored drug trade hierarchy
Heist Crew Associate
Trailer footage shows Jason and Lucia pulling off robberies that look too coordinated for just two people, suggesting a wider crew. Past GTA games have always built out a supporting cast of specialists for heist missions, so a getaway driver or hacker-type character seems likely even without a name attached yet.
- Inferred from multi-person heist scenes in trailer footage
- No specific name or role confirmed
- GTA heist missions have historically required a specialist crew
Online Personality
GTA 6's marketing has leaned hard into a modern social media satire angle, with in-game influencer and streamer culture appearing in trailer backgrounds. A recurring online personality character, in the same comedic tradition as past GTA radio hosts, seems like a natural fit even though nobody specific has been confirmed.
- Based on the social media satire tone shown in trailer marketing
- No specific character or name confirmed
- Fits the same comedic role past GTA games gave radio hosts and TV personalities
Lucia's Former Cellmate
Community discussion around Lucia's prison introduction in Trailer 1 has floated the idea of a former cellmate who resurfaces later in the story, a device GTA and other crime dramas have used before to bring a past connection back into the plot. This is pure fan theory with no trailer evidence directly supporting it yet.
- Pure fan theory, not based on confirmed trailer content
- Inspired by a common crime-drama plot device
- No evidence beyond Lucia's prison introduction scene

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything we know so far about the cast of GTA 6.
Who are the main characters in GTA 6?
Jason and Lucia are the two confirmed protagonists, officially named and shown throughout Trailer 1 and Trailer 2. This is the first mainline GTA game with a confirmed female protagonist playable from the start.
Is Lucia the first female protagonist in GTA?
She's the first confirmed playable female protagonist in a mainline numbered GTA title. Past games have included playable women in GTA Online and side content, but Lucia is a first for the core story of a numbered release.
Who is Boobie Ike?
Boobie Ike is a Vice City business figure named directly in Trailer 2. His exact role in the main story hasn't been detailed by Rockstar, but he's one of the few supporting characters confirmed by name in official marketing rather than through leaks.
Are Jason and Lucia related to past GTA protagonists?
No connection has been confirmed. GTA games have historically used standalone casts per title rather than continuing storylines, and nothing in the trailers has suggested Jason or Lucia are tied to previous protagonists.
Will there be other playable characters besides Jason and Lucia?
Not confirmed. GTA 5 was the first mainline game to let players switch between three protagonists mid-story. Whether GTA 6 does something similar with just Jason and Lucia, or sticks to a more traditional single or dual-protagonist structure, hasn't been detailed.
How reliable are leaked character names?
Leaks and datamines have been accurate in the past for some GTA games, but names and roles can also change significantly during development. Anything on this page marked Rumored should be treated as a working theory, not a confirmed fact, until Rockstar says otherwise.
