GTA 6 Collector's Box: What's in the $399 Goodtime State Set
Rockstar finally announced a GTA 6 collector's item, and it doesn't include the game. Here's all 11 items in the Goodtime State box and who it's really for.

In this article
For months the answer to “is there a GTA 6 collector’s edition?” was no. Rockstar sold two editions, Standard at $79.99 and Ultimate at $99.99, and neither came with a statue, art book or anything else to put on a shelf. Then on September 24, 2026, Rockstar announced the Goodtime State Vice City Collection, a $399.99 box of merchandise sold through the Rockstar Store.
The catch is in the fine print. The game isn’t included.
What’s in the box
The Rockstar Store lists 11 items, all themed around Vice City and the Leonida Keys:
- A Macca the Gator figure
- Oakley Frogskins sunglasses
- A Leonida Keys crossbody bag
- A New Era 9FORTY snapback
- A Macca the Gator magnetic mirror
- A Chunkee the Manatee shot glass
- A Vice City collectible swizzle spoon
- A Vice City razor blade keychain
- A Leonida Keys enamel pin set in a metal tin
- A Leonida Keys sticker pack in a stash bag
- A double-sided souvenir poster with a map of Leonida
Reports at announcement said the box ships on November 19, the same day the game launches, and is limited to one per customer.
Is it a collector’s edition?
Not in the usual sense. A traditional collector’s edition bundles the game with physical extras. This is closer to a premium merchandise drop: some licensed brand pieces, a lot of in-joke items built around Leonida’s mascots, and a map poster. If you buy it, you still need to buy the game separately, which pushes the total past $480 if you also want Ultimate.
The items lean hard into Vice City’s party-town image. A razor blade keychain and a “stash bag” for stickers are exactly the kind of tongue-in-cheek humour GTA marketing has always used, and they also explain why the box is sold through Rockstar’s own store rather than mainstream retailers.
Who it’s for
At $399.99, this is aimed at collectors and fans who want a physical keepsake of the launch, not anyone looking for value. The two branded pieces, the Oakley sunglasses and New Era cap, account for a real chunk of the retail value on their own, and the rest is mostly novelty. If you were hoping for an art book, a steelbook or a physical disc, none of those are in here.
It’s also worth saying that the official Rockstar Store is the only safe place to buy it. Our guide to official GTA 6 merch explains how to spot the unlicensed sellers that have been riding the launch hype, and boxes like this are exactly what resellers target.
How this changes our earlier answer
Earlier this year we wrote that Rockstar seemed to be skipping a collector’s edition entirely. That’s still true for the game itself: there’s no boxed edition with extras, and the physical edition is just a download code. But Rockstar has now offered a collectible for people who want one, sold separately from the game. If that’s what you were waiting for, this is it.
Should you buy it?
If you love the merch, have the budget, and want something from the launch to keep, the Goodtime State box is the official option and probably won’t be restocked forever. If you just want the best version of the game, put the money toward the Ultimate Edition and a bigger SSD instead. You’ll get far more use out of both.
