About This Weapon
The Carbine Rifle has been in GTA Online since launch day, September 17, 2013, priced at $13,000 at Ammu-Nation and unlocked at Rank 42. Built around an AR-15 platform with HK416 and Remington R5 RGP influences, it trades the Assault Rifle’s raw damage for better accuracy and the longest effective range of any non-sniper weapon in the game, making it one of the most reliable mid-to-long range picks in the Assault Rifles class.
Special Features
It's the base weapon for the Carbine Rifle Mk II conversion, which you can get at the Weapon Workshop for $107,500
Works with the 100-round Box Clip that was added in the Further Adventures in Finance and Felony update
Leaked footage and screenshots from Grand Theft Auto VI show a model that closely matches this weapon, though Rockstar hasn't confirmed or named it officially
A second carbine variant with a different look has also turned up in the same leaks, so GTA 6 might end up splitting this into two separate rifles
It has a long history in the series too, showing up in GTA IV, San Andreas, Vice City, and GTA III, where it was called the M16 or M4
